Kindermusik Philosophy

Kindermusik is the community of families and teachers passionately committed to bringing music to childrens lives through developmentally appropriate curricula, CDs, books, instruments, and activities for our classes and for family time at home. Kindermusiks philosophy is founded upon rigorous research and our fundamental beliefs:

  • Every parent is the childs most important teacher.
  • Every child is musical.
  • The home is the most important learning environment.
  • Music nurtures a childs cognitive, emotional, social, language, and physical development.
  • Every child should experience the joy, fun, and learning which music brings to life.

Class Policies

In order for Therabeat, Inc to provide the best services possible, we ask that you review these policies before attending your first class.

Commitment: By enrolling in a class with Therabeat, Inc you are making a commitment to the entire semester. We are making a commitment to provide you with the highest quality music experience. You have made a commitment to attend your class at a designated weekly time and we have saved that time for your family. Once the semester begins, no one can fill your childs spot in his/her absence; therefore we do encourage regular attendance.

Fees: Non-refundable registration deposits are due with your registration form to reserve a space for your child. Tuition is paid on a semester basis. It may be paid in full with the registration form or may be paid in two equal installments. The first installment is due by the first day of class and the second is due on or before the sixth class. Delaying payment more than 30 days incurs a $10 late fee. Payments may be mailed or brought to class. Therabeat,Inc Music accepts the following payment methods: cash, check, Visa, and Mastercard. If you fail to complete the semester, tuition in full is still required. If you cancel your childs registration within two weeks prior to classes starting, you will not be obligated to pay the tuition, however, the registration deposit is non-refundable. No refunds are available once the semester begins.

Punctuality: Therabeat, Inc is conscientious in beginning and ending classes on time. We appreciate your punctuality. We ask that you not enter if you arrive more than 15 minutes late so that the class in progress is not interrupted.

Make-ups: If you miss a class, refer to your semester schedule for additional studio class times. By calling first, you may attend another class based on space availability. Make-ups must be scheduled within two weeks of the missed class. Make-ups are available during the current semester and may not be carried over into future semesters.

Younger Siblings: If your infant is small enough to remain in a carrier, he/she is welcome to come along with you to your childs class. We want your Kindermusik class to be a special time of interaction for you and the child you have enrolled. If you find that it is distracting for you to attend to your enrolled child and your infant, please plan to make child-care arrangements for your infant. All siblings are welcome for the last 10 minutes of Imagine That! and Young Child classes. Family Time is designed to accommodate all family members.

Classroom Etiquette: Please help us minimize distractions by turning off your cell phones and hanging up personal items in designated areas. Remove your shoes and your childs shoes for class and place them outside the classroom door. Food and drink are not allowed in the classroom. You are strongly encouraged to leave snacks, sippy cups, pacifiers, and favorite toys at home or in the car. Your child will need to have his/her hands free to hold musical instruments and fully participate in all activities. Teacher Absence/Illness: In the event of teacher absence or illness, a substitute teacher may teach your class or you may get a call postponing the class. In the case of postponing the class, you will resume classes the following week. The semester will be extended by one week.
