Jennifer completed her music therapy degree at the University of Georgia. She remained in the Atlanta area for her music therapy internship with the Fulton County School System, working with children with special needs. She is a licensed Kindermusik® educator and is a member of the Music Therapy Association of Georgia, American Music Therapy Association, Down Syndrome Association of Atlanta, and FOCUS (Families of Children Under Stress). She holds national board certification in music therapy, is a credentialed Neurological Music Therapist, is a credentialed Early Intervention Specialist, is certified in the Therapeutic Listening Program, and has been trained in Infant Massage. Jennifer serves as Secretary and Reimbursement Chair of the SER-AMTA (Southeastern Region - American Music Therapy Association). Jennifer has been active in her community and church serving as choir director, drama director, and other positions in the music ministry. Jennifer resides in Cherokee County with her husband Brian, and their daughters Carlynn Grace and Brinlee Ann. Jennifer is the Owner of Therabeat, Inc and Co-Owner of In Harmony Pediatric Therapy. |

Jessica Ann Pitts is an avid Jayhawk fan having received her Bachelor of Music Education degree with a major in Music Therapy from the University of Kansas in 2010. As a national board-certified Music Therapist, Jessica currently works for Therabeat, Inc. at In Harmony Pediatric Therapy in Canton, GA. She is an active member of the American Music Therapy Association and the Music Therapy Association of Georgia. Jessica moved from the Midwest to Atlanta to complete her music therapy internship with children with special needs in the Fulton County School System during the 2009-2010 school year. In May of 2009, Jessica received the E. Thayer Gaston Music Therapy award. Jessica is a licensed Kindermusik educator. Jessica resides in Roswell, GA with her husband Kevin and their black cat, Casanova Marshall. |

David Symons has dedicated all of his adult life to sharing the joys of music with children of all ages. He currently holds three degrees (a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Brewton-Parker College, as well as a Master of Music Therapy degree and a Specialist in Music Education degree from the University of Georgia), and is certified as both a Music Educator and as a Music Therapist. David is also classically trained as a concert pianist, having over 15 years of experience as a performer in both concert and clinical environments. David comes to Therabeat, Inc. from Evans, Georgia, where he owned and operated his own pediatric therapy private practice. In addition to his work with individual clients at Therabeat, David teaches a wide array of Kindermusik classes, including Village, Our Time, Imagine That, Young Child, Sign & Sing, and Family Time.

Chelsea Farr is currently completing her music therapy internship with the Fulton County School System, working with children with special needs ranging in age from elementary school to high school. Chelsea received her Bachelor degree in Music Therapy from the University of Georgia. She is a licensed Kindermusik Educator and is a member of the American Music Therapy Association as well as the Music Therapy Association of Georgia. She interned as a music therapy student with Jennifer Puckett at the clinic during the summer of 2010. She has worked with the Hugh Hodgson School of Music Community Music School at the University of Georgia leading group music therapy sessions with children with developmental disorders ranging from ages six to sixteen. After the completion of her internship, she will become a board-certified music therapist with the intention of working with pediatrics in the clinical setting. Chelsea is a very talented singer who is called to share the healing work of music with the lives of others.

Alison Williams hails from the Mississippi Delta where she received her Bachelor of Music Education degree from Mississippi Valley State University in Itta Bena, MS. She also received her Masters of Music Education with concentration in Music Therapy from the University of Georgia in December of 2010. Alison first came to us as an intern and is now an official member of our staff as a music therapist. She is a licensed music educator who loves working with children. Her goal is to become a board-certified music therapist as well as a credentialed early intervention specialist. Alison is a gifted singer who believes that her mission in life is to share the gift of music with others.

Lydia is currently completing her Music Therapy internship at Therabeat, Inc. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Therapy from Charleston Southern University in Charleston, SC. Having taught piano and violin lessons for seven years, she is excited to gain experience in adaptive music lessons. During her undergraduate career, she worked with pediatrics in various clinical school settings. These experiences gave her a passion for working with children and helping them reach their full potential. In her free time, Lydia enjoys being outdoors, exercising and spending time with family and friends.
